Macedonian Institute for Integration was a co-organizer of the international high level conference named as “FIRST GATHERING OF THE REFORM LEADERS FROM THE WESTERN BALKAN REGIONS AND EXPERTS ON THE EU PROJECT FUNDING (GOR)” which was held on the 31^st May and the 01^st June in Brussels.

Macedonian Institute for Integration is co-organizer of the high level conference "First gathering of the Reform Leaders from the Western Balkan regions and Experts on the EU Project Funding (GOR)" on 31st May and 01st June in Brussels.

Without doubt, Western Balkan region is facing a challenging period in it's quest to join the European Union. The implementation of a regional and cross sector projects co-financed by the EU is subject to procedures, rules and obligations which are generally poorly known by the potential beneficiaries in the Western Balkans. In order to encourage momentum, raise confidence and advance quality of the results it is crucial to encourage cross-sector collaboration, introduce advanced project design and quality assurance methodologies and support synergy of the reform initiatives.

The goal of the conference is to provide immediate and effective support to Western Balkan (WB) reform leaders who are working at the forefront of development and reform to build up their capacities and expand perspectives for successful initiation, preparation and application for projects under EU umbrella. Conference program will focus on the issues considered of high priority for Western Balkan beneficiaries such as institution building, regional development, environment, energy, tourism, SMEs, research and innovation, cross-border cooperation and cross-cultural cooperation.

At 21.04.2010, members of the team of Macedonian Institute for Integration (MII) led by the President and National Coordinator, Mr. Zoran Janakiev, attended a reception at the President of the Republic of Macedonia, PhD Gjorge Ivanov.

At the meeting, the President of the MII, informed the President of the Republic of Macedonia about the activities and the work of MII, about the possibilities for representation of the Macedonian institutions, organizations and companies in Brussels which MII offers and for the priority packages that MII is working on at the moment, like:

The European Info Day for the Inteligent Energy Europe (IEE) programme will take place in Brussels on the 3 February 2010.
The Macedonian Institute for Integration, represented by the Executive Manager Mrs. Snezana Miteva-Mathonet is registered participant for the event.

At Tuesday, 8 December 2009 - The Executive Manager of the Macedonian Institute for Integration, Mrs. Snezana Miteva-Mathonet attended to the European Policy Summit named as "A new era in the Balkans", which held in the Council of Europe in Brussels.

One of the main participants at the event was the H.E. The President of the Government of Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Nikola Gruevski.

Today, Thursday, 19 November 2009 in the cabinet of the Mayor of the Municipality of Kavadarci, Macedonia, Mr. Aleksandar Panov, was held event for undersigning the Letter of Intend between: the Municipality of Kavadarci from Macedonia and “Enfinity”, company from Belgium for build site for renewable energy (solar energy). This cooperation was enabled with intercession of the MACEDONIAN INSTITUTE for INTEGRATION.

The seventh edition of OPEN DAYS (European Week of Cities and Regions) consisted of 125 seminars, workshops, debates and exhibitions between 5 and 8 October 2009 took place in Brussels. More than 6000 participants were involved as well as 250 partners including 213 regions/cities from 33 countries.

The Macedonian Institute for Integration was one of the participants in the Open Days 2009 event in Brussels.
