Macedonian Institute for Integration met the President of Republic of Macedonia
At 21.04.2010, members of the team of Macedonian Institute for Integration (MII) led by the President and National Coordinator, Mr. Zoran Janakiev, attended a reception at the President of the Republic of Macedonia, PhD Gjorge Ivanov.
At the meeting, the President of the MII, informed the President of the Republic of Macedonia about the activities and the work of MII, about the possibilities for representation of the Macedonian institutions, organizations and companies in Brussels which MII offers and for the priority packages that MII is working on at the moment, like:
- Representation and presentation of the Units of the Local Governments of the Republic of Macedonia in Brussels, the activities;
- Representation and lobby activities in the economic development environment and promotion of the opportunities for development in the Republic of Macedonia;
- The President of MII presented the activities for preparation as well as the agenda for the conference which will be held in Brussels on the 31st May and 01st June 2010 titled as the “FIRST GATHERING OF THE REFORM LEADERS FROM THE WESTER BALKAN REGIONS AND EXPERTS ON EU PROJECTS FUNDING (GOR)” accenting the importance of attending on this conference of the representatives of the governmental, non-governmental and business sector.
The President of Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Ivanov was very supportive of the activities of the Macedonian Institute for Integration and estimated that the continuous representation of the Republic of Macedonia and the possibilities for cooperation that are offered in Brussels are extremely important for all entities from Macedonia, especially in the following period - the Belgium’s presidency in the EU, starting from July 2010.
